Work You'll do
Deloitte's Actuarial and Insurance Solutions (AIS) practice has a proven track record of helping companies make better-informed decisions regarding insurance liabilities, assets, and capital management. We combine extensive industry experience in insurance and banking with advanced analytics to drive performance measurement, strategic growth, and robust risk management. Placement of a D-League Program is determined during the hiring process, where we match business needs with your specific interests andskills.
Our specialized actuarial teams focus on:
- Financial Reporting & Actuarial Audit
- Solvency II / Economic Capital & IFRS 17
- Actuarial Modeling & Product Pricing
- Embedded Value & Risk Management
Work you'll do:
- Collaborate with practice leaders and professional consultants to solve complex business problems for major insurance and banking clients.
- Support the delivery of high-quality solutions across key areas such as financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.
- Assist in actuarial modeling to help clients evaluate liabilities and optimize their capital management strategies.
- Contribute to product pricing and embedded value analysis to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Gain hands-on exposure to industry-standard frameworks, including IFRS 17 and Solvency II, within a professional services environment.
- Engage in actuarial audit processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of complex financial data.
- Apply mathematical and statistical concepts to real-world business scenarios, transforming data into actionable strategic insights.
Requirements
- Class of 2026 and 2027 (Both Undergraduate and Graduate) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data science, Risk management, Quantitative Finance and other relevant programs
- Ability to learn, apply, and communicate technical concepts and ideas
- Commitment to obtaining the professional qualification of an internationally recognized actuarial organization (e.g. Society of Actuaries) and good progress in the actuarial examination would be advantageous
- Excellent analytical skill with high commitment to quality client service
- Excellent consultation and communication skills, self-initiation, good team player and willingness to work under pressure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, good documentation and presentation skills.
Eligibility to Apply: Class of 2026 and 2027 (Both Undergraduate and Graduate) with a commitment of 3 days (24 hours) per week.
Internship period: 4-6 months (From July/September till December 31, 2026)
