About the Business
Deloitte’s Japan Services Group has long supported Japanese companies investing and operating in Taiwan, providing a wide range of professional services including domestic taxation, international tax, and transfer pricing. Working closely with Deloitte member firms in Japan, we deliver seamless cross-border support between Taiwan and Japan.
This position focuses on assisting Taiwanese companies expanding into the Japanese market. You will take part in cross-border projects through coordination and administrative support, including research, analysis, and reporting, to help businesses establish a solid foundation for entering Japan. In addition, you will provide support to internal professional teams, gaining valuable hands-on experience in cross-border collaboration and developing international exposure and cross-cultural communication skills.
Work You'll do
In this position, you will:
1. Support Taiwanese companies expanding into the Japanese market by assisting with cross-border project coordination and execution
2. Handle administrative and communication tasks related to Japan-bound projects to ensure smooth project progress
3. Conduct industry and market research, and assist in preparing analysis reports and project documentation
4. Provide support in areas such as taxation, regulatory compliance, and project management, gaining valuable cross-disciplinary experience
5. Collaborate closely with Deloitte member firms in Japan, building cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with the following background and qualities:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business, Accounting, Japanese, or a related field
2. Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 or above, with the ability to communicate effectively with Japanese clients
3. The ability to read and understand English business documents
4. Strong communication and coordination skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
5. Detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and able to adapt to challenges with problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience studying, interning, or participating in exchange programs in Japan, with familiarity in Japanese culture and business environment
2. Experience working on cross-border projects or collaborating in cross-cultural environments
